The motel has a variety of rooms. All 16 rooms are non-smoking and pet-free. Whether you're visiting by yourself, or part of a large family, this resort can accommodate you with waterview rooms and suites as well. Other rooms without views and cabins are also available at affordable rates. All rooms are equipped with kitchen facilities, which include refrigerators, microwaves, stoves and coffemakers.
The resort is located in a waterfront community located on a quiet bay on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The resort is located in a well known area for recreational fishing, especially salmon. From novice to expert, an angler can find just the right fishing experience they are looking for. One reason this area is so popular is because even small boats can easily access the best fishing grounds. Rarely will you encounter rough water and seasickness associated with coastal ocean fishing. This is also an ideal spot for fish such as halibut, ling cod and sea bass, which you'll find absolutely delicious! Fishing seasons vary, but generally, salmon seasons are from mid-February to mid-April and July thru September. Bottom fishing lasts from early spring throughout the summer. Usually, halibut seasojn runs from mid-May into mid-July.
Boating Options
Guests may bring their own boat with 5 docks of moorage. Services include a boat launching ramp and parking spaces for boat trailer. Or, guests may choose to rent a "kicker" boat. Rental boats are 16 feet in length and are available with a 15 hp motor. A new owner could also benefit greatly by providing charter service to guests, locals, and travelers alike.
Fishing Knowledge and Equipment
This resort has plenty of fishing knowledge gained from personal experience and we all know that fishermen don't lie! The resort provides assistance for first time anglers and suggest those "lucky" fishing spots. Rods, reels and nets can be rented. Bait, hooks or lures can be purchased in the tackle shop, and plenty of cold storage and freezing facilities are on site.
